Lauren Schroeder, an 18-year-old from Dixon, Iowa, turned a simple observation into a transformative community project. Noticing a lack of fresh produce at local food banks, she utilized half an acre of her family’s farm to grow a diverse array of vegetables. Over two years, Lauren expanded her garden to a full acre, cultivating more than 30 varieties of produce and donating over 7,000 pounds to organizations like River Bend Food Bank and Café on Vine.
